Owner - Fred Voser
Upon finishing his Pro Hockey Career in Switzerland, Fred journeyed to Canada to start the Swiss International Sports and Education Center (SISEC) in 2005. Based in Chestermere to start, Fred was one of the founding 5 figures of the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL). This league is now a pinnacle operation in Canada, with just over 80 teams competing.
General Manager - Darcy HodgeBefore Darcy became a member of the International Hockey Academy, he was an Academy father. He has been with the program for 6 years now. In the academy, he has been a skills coach, a head coach and now is the program's general manager. He is an High Performance 1 Certified coach. Before coming onto IHA, he owned the largest Skills Academy in Sherwood Park, working with upwards of 350 kids a summer. He developed position specific training programs, that has helped a number of kids move onto the NHL, AHL, European Pro, NCAA, CIS and all levels of Junior hockey in Canada.

U18 Prep Head Coach - Claude VilgrainIHA is pleased to welcome CLAUDE VILGRAIN to the IHA Family. Claude will be the Head Coach of the U18 Prep team at IHA for the 2022-23 season.
A former NHL’er, he played in Vancouver, New Jersey and Philadelphia and a member of our Canadian Olympic Team. Claude then went onto play pro in Germany and Switzerland where he won Two Spengler Cups • BIPOC Coaching Association Member • Hockey Alberta Diversity, inclusion committee member • Hockey skills development Coach. • Coached for 14 seasons at various level from U15 to Junior level. |
U17 Prep Head Coach / Player Development - Jason AbramoffJason has been with the International Hockey Academy for 5 years now. He has held the roles of assistant and head coach.
This year, Jason continue as our HEAD COACH of the U17 PREP team and as our Director of Player Development. Jason also works with the Okotoks Oilers, as part of their scouting staff. |
Fitness and Strength Training - Chad ShielChad is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and an On-ice Skill Development Coach. He has been involved in hockey at the Junior A, Major Junior, College, and Professional levels for over 20 years as a player, conditioning specialist, scout, coach, and a General Manager. Chad is the sole proprietor of STRIDE ATHLETICS.

Head Trainer and Safety Officer - Kelsey VoserThis will be Kelsey's 6th year with IHA. Kelsey is a Certified Emergency Responder. She moonlights with Aaron Paramedical as an on-site responder. Miriam Lewis - Program PhysiotherapistMiriam graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honors) from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2009. She holds her diploma in Sports Physiotherapy and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist. She has experience with Functional Dry Needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), along with a keen interest and education in Concussion recovery and vestibular rehabilitation.

Goalie Coach - David MarcouxDavid is on year 2 with IHA. The former goaltending coach for the Carolina Hurricanes (2014 to 2017) and former goaltending coach for the Calgary Flames (2003 to 2009). He has more than 25 years of experience working with goaltenders at all levels of hockey. His specialized goalie instruction gives goaltenders the technical and mental training needed to excel at all levels.
